However, using big names for marketing can only get people to engage to an extent in the short run; in order for engagement to stay and grow, utility and value must be found in these NFTs in the long run.

With the partnerships of big picture brands like Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment, Terra Virtua was able to have licenses of well-known films like The Godfather, Godzilla, and Pacific Rim to create environments and NFTs based around these movies. Fans of these movies can come together in this Metaverse.

Cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum use a global network system of computers to be able to compile and verify transactions that are being made. This process is done through “mining.” Computers try to solve complex puzzles to allow networks to function and to protect from hacking. This process takes up a lot of energy resulting in alarmingly high carbon emissions. Most NFTs are purchased through Ethereum but with more information coming out every day, this is changing in metaverses.

Because of this, Terra Virtua decided to incorporate Cardano cryptocurrency into their Metaverse. Cardano uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) approach rather than the Proof of Work (PoW) methodology which Ethereum is using. PoW methodology takes up high energy consumption because of the difficulty and time mining takes making it less sustainable but PoS is more energy efficient due to its more precise allocation of resources, however it is less secure.

This has allowed “Clean NFTs” to come into the community. As you do not need to won cryptocurrency to be able to take part in the NFT community. Also, with many cryptocurrencies looking into switching from PoW to PoS. But does this mean cryptocurrency is sustainable? This is a step in the right direction but there is so much more to address such as the tangible aspect. Using PoS has a significant issue that the use of PoS over PoW gives power and influence over the coin to a smaller number of people. This is because to be able to have an influence, you must own a lot of that coin. Which in a way causes the market to be less decentralized. The hardware to mine is an issue with excess computers made and even a chip shortage because of it. As well as the increasing amount of consumerism that is causing people to unnecessarily spend on items they do not need. So even with a more sustainable way to purchase, trade and create NFTs, consumerism in today’s economic society is making it difficult to be sustainable.

Due to the environmental impact of cryptocurrency and the ethical issues that come from hacking and security, regulations have been put in place with “Decentralized Autonomous Organizations” (DAO) which was created to automate decisions and facilitate cryptocurrency transactions. The regulation and moderation are coming into the decentralized space, eliminating the concept that grew the interest of cryptocurrency in the first place.

Достаточно просто выбрать нужный к реализации NFT, заполнить форму в центре и подтвердить свое решение. Далее остается ждать, когда на платформе найдется пользователь, желающий заплатить за токен.

Нюансом является возможность выставления NFT на продажу только за фиаты. Они будут перечислены на счет в Terra Wallet. Если до окончания аукциона осталось 3 минуты, а в этот период будет сделана ставка, срок продлится еще на 3 минуты. Также система автоматически выставляет роялти для первоначальных владельцев NFT, которые будут получать определенный процент с каждой последующей продажи токена.

Можно ли создавать свои NFT и коллекции

На данный момент создание собственных NFT возможно только для инфлюенсеров, брендов и других обладателей качественного контента, они должны заполнить специальную заявку, которую будут рассматривать сотрудники Terra Virtua. Для создания NFT будет придется использовать инструмент Terra Forma. Токены могут быть 2D, анимированными или 3D, после их одобрения сам создатель будет решать, где они будут использоваться, будут доступны все возможности продуктов Terra.

Terra Virtua’s new gaming development company

Terra Virtua announced in March that it is launching its own gaming development company, under the name Terra Virtua Sutdios. This marks the platform’s new direction: creating its own immersive games that integrate its unique vFlect characters.

The company wrote in a blog post: “Terra Virtua Studios’ strategy is to develop and publish titles that are high-quality standalone games first, but will also include elements specifically designed for the metaverse, in preparation for the next evolution in gaming.”

The studio has also revealed a partnership with Stainless Games, which has developed games for Microsoft, Disney and EA.

The introduction of TVK coin was intended to reduce the transaction fees when buying collectables, but there are also other uses for the token. The first is Terra Virtua Prestige, of which you can become a member by staking TVK. The benefits of being a member include access to exclusive items, announcements through the town hall and monthly random drops of NFTS and TVK coins.

However, to get access to these features you must hold at least 5,000 TVK. At its current price of $0.03 according to CoinMarketCap, that’s $150 worth of TVK.

There are also quests, competitions and leader boards that have TVK rewards. This gamification layer was added to increase access to rewards using an interactive method, in line with the mission objective.

The Terra Virtua Kolect coin launched on 16 December 2020 at $0.06 and its price history since then has been volatile. It stayed around the $0.10 mark for the first two months of 2021, then hit its all-time high of $1.15 on 15 March. It fell back down to the $0.50 mark during May. Since then, the price of Terra Virtua Kolect has fallen further. By 3 May 2022, it was sitting at $0.04.

After the collapse of Terra (LUNA), a completely separate project, TVK was one of the many altcoins impacted by the crash. It stooped to its all-time low of $0.025 on 12 May. At the time of writing on 22 June 2022, it has recovered a little, and is hovering around $0.03.
