Adam Bomb Squad is an NFT project by The Hundreds, consisting of 25,000 unique combinations of bombs and accompanying backgrounds from our two decades of history. Ownership grants you membership cards that come with perks directly from Adam Bomb Squad and the community. Initially, Adam Bomb had a tough time getting off the ground. His first cameo was on the back of a Freshjive collaboration T-shirt in 2006. He was then incorporated onto a crewneck sweatshirt. But, it wasn’t until he was re-introduced as a basketball (Bridge Burners Adam), that he gained traction in the marketplace. Adam Bomb never explodes, but he definitely blew up. Over the past 15 years, he’s become the face of not only The Hundreds but a streetwear generation. He shows up on skaters and celebrities, at awards shows, and in music videos. Adam Bomb guest-starred in Pixar movies and topped the tallest Times Square billboard. Today, Adam Bomb has become one of the most recognizable and well-loved mascots in fashion, proudly carried as a streetwear badge, as a status symbol, or to notify the world that you’re part of a movement. As the physical world continues to cross over to the metaverse, however, we see the next iteration of Adam Bomb Squad representation as NFTs. Who Owns Adam Bomb SquadThe Adam Bomb Squad Project is a collection of 25,000 “Adam Bombs” curated by The Hundreds owners Ben and Bobby as they breached the boundaries between streetwear, fashion, and technology. Unfortunately, TENS only lasted a few seasons, but Madam was intermittently brought back into The Hundreds’ world, recently making a cameo in the 2021 Adam Bomb collection. Today, she holds it down as an on/off-again love interest for Adam, and a good and loyal friend to the Adam Bomb Squad. How to Buy Adam Bomb Squad NFTAdam Bomb Squad NFTs were minted on August 27, 2021, for 0. 1 ETH, with volume pricing at 5 bombs and 10 bombs. They sold out in 40 minutes. Today, Adam Bomb Squad NFTs trade on the secondary market for a value that fluctuates depending on demand. Join Bull is Coming Telegram Group

OUR STORYThe Hundreds is a global, community-based streetwear brand with an emphasis on People Over Product. Founded in 2003, Bobby Kim (Bobby Hundreds) and Ben Shenassafar (Ben Hundreds) formulated the project out of a studio apartment and the cash in their pocket. Eighteen years later, The Hundreds is regarded as a streetwear pillar, our flagship store anchoring the Fairfax District, and having collaborated with the likes of adidas, Disney, Stanley Kubrick, Nipsey Hussle, Puma, Jackson Pollock, Pepsi, Back to the Future, Larva Labs, and Bored Ape Yacht Club. Adam Bomb Squad NFTs initial sales are officially SOLD OUT. To be part of the Bomb Squad, check out our OpenSea Collection

Adam Bomb is The Hundreds’ world famous mascot. Bobby Hundreds illustrated a cartoony Adam Bomb with an anxious, expectant face, based off of The Hundreds’ logo at the time, an iconic silhouette called Solid Bomb. Over the years, Adam Bomb blanketed the world, proudly worn by generations of streetwear fans, topping Times Square’s highest billboard, and collaborating with the biggest name brands and artists. Adam Bomb is the leader of the Adam Bomb Squad and is one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today. Madam Bomb

ABOUTAll the while, we’re here to teach The Hundreds history and provide a fun, collectible experience for fellow NFT enthusiasts.

  • How many bombs are there?
  • That’s a lot of NFTs compared to other popular projects. Why so many?
  • How much are bombs?
  • How do I buy an Adam Bomb Squad NFT?
  • Wait a minute. What even is an NFT?
  • Since I bought an Adam Bomb Squad NFT, does that mean I have the rights to this design?
  • Besides a cool-looking JPEG, what else does this NFT give me?
  • Why are you doing this?
  • I’ve heard that NFTs are bad for the environment. Why are you contributing to the problem?
  • This is stupid. NFTs are a scam. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

When it comes to things that are easy to recognize, it’s directly the backgrounds. I personally suspect it’s less and less about “plaid vs. camo” but more about the backgrounds like Pasley, LV, Sawtooth or even that crazy wallpaper pattern in your kitchen from the 90’s. Closing ThoughtsI probably could have found some better things to do over this past long US holiday. I thought it was fun and interesting to get closer to a project as a I further my own journey into NFT space. I by no means have any empirical evidence on anything but as someone who work as a professional in my day job – these are the things that stick out to me. Good luck & happy collecting!

Про NFT:  Полное руководство по NFT-маркетингу: усиление вашего присутствия в Интернете

Of everything that has transpired since we launched this project, there is only one aspect of it that nags at me. I wouldn’t say it worries me, but it makes me wonder. It has nothing to do with the project itself, but an attitude I see amongst a few in the community. Occasionally, I’ll see a holder on Discord or in my mentions comment, “Promise me that you’ll make me a lot of money,” or, “I invested a lot of savings into this, I’m nervous it will fail. Convince me otherwise

With the frothy hype and sensational nature of NFTs this year, these emotions are justified. Although Adam Bomb Squad clearly outlined the perks around our NFTs as membership-based (joining a community vs. growing a retirement fund), I’m aware that many of you are also betting on NFTs like ours as a speculative investment. And that’s fair! Since we look at our NFTs as art, there is not much dissimilar from the physical art marketplace in terms of buying, selling, and trading dynamics. It’s like we made 25,000 art prints — although aesthetically pleasing, the hope is also that they become more expensive over time. NFTs also behave like trading cards (or other rarity-based collectibles like sneakers) and perform like stocks; so the comparisons are valid.

Any time you spend money that you’ve earned, you are betting. You’re betting on the hamburger to nourish you and not make you sick. You have faith that the chair you bought won’t collapse underneath you. You really hope that those deadstock Jordans will hold their value and make you cool. And when you invest in Apple or Google stock, you believe that your cash will increase over time, because of your trust in the institutions’ track records.

When you pay for an ABS NFT, it’s not unlike shelling out for a $500 Modernica table from The Hundreds or a Bored Ape collab rug. We also hope these physical pieces of art grow in value over time — whether monetarily, socially, or emotionally. The only difference is there’s a frenzied market around crypto and collectible JPEGs this year and platforms like Open Sea facilitate the trades and expose the thrilling margins around trading. So, NFTs are moving a lot faster than other types of collectibles and investments, and the expectations are that much higher (if not borderline improbable).

So, it’s not the trading or investment practices around ABS that make me uncomfortable. We’ve always been in the business of hype and Veblen goods. We know this space well and are experts in the dynamics of scarcity, branding, and marketing. No, what raises my eyebrow is this misguided mentality that ABS will make you rich. And this is why:

Nobody can make you rich. And anybody who guarantees you that can’t be trusted.

Only you can make yourself rich. Yes, the brands, the suppliers, and the creators have a duty to uphold their end of the bargain. But, at the end of the day, the onus is on you, as the investor, to make smart investments in the people and product you believe in. Your wealth and financial gains are not anyone else’s responsibility, but your own. Don’t leave your success and happiness up to a stranger! And don’t take risks that you can’t afford to lose. NFTs are an incredibly volatile space and there have been a couple downturns this year that leveled the playing field. Although the wins come suddenly and with much force, like everything in the world today, they can also be stolen from you in a heartbeat. So, the same rules apply here as they do with any investments:

1) Diversify. Most NFTs will not make it. I’ll say this again: 99% of NFT projects will NOT MAKE IT. We know this well having seen the rise and eventual demise of an entire streetwear generation. Of the thousands of successful brands we started out with, only a handful still exist today. Most, although wildly profitable at first, didn’t last more than a few years. This is the nature of any business. This is also how investment strategy works (bet on 10, hope 1 winner covers the costs of the others).

2) Have patience and plan for profitability in 5–10 years from now (or even longer). Like I say in my book, “Sometimes it takes some time. ” When Ben and I started investing in Bitcoin, we stashed that money away and promised not to look at it for a decade. We knew it would take that long for the rest of the world to catch up. CryptoPunks were designed in 2017 but sat stagnant until this past year. As electric as NFTs are today, they may stall just as abruptly. Think back on the lull since the last crypto boom. I anticipate those slow seasons to be fewer between, but they are coming. And you need to be prepared.

*Real quick, I need to stress something that’s getting lost in the sauce. Unlike art and other traditional investments, NFTs are not just about financial gains. Many, like ours, hold utility and experiences. Some also come with built-in communities. I understand that the money attracts you, but the memories you’ll get out of his world will hold much more value in the long run than the Ethereum you stand to accrue.

Look, nobody goes into business to lose money, so our every intent and ounce of energy with ABS is to give everyone a good time and a party favor to go home with. If it wasn’t evident already, I just want to remind you: We are as invested in this as you are. We’ve dumped our entire company into this project for the last year and with the money that’s come in, we’re busy building out the infrastructure for this new ABS company. Still, like any new venture, like everything we’ve ever done, Adam Bomb Squad is a calculated guess, if not a passion-filled dream. We felt the same way about The Hundreds when we started. We were selling air and ideas. The Hundreds didn’t exist in 2003. In a way, 18 years later, it still doesn’t! The entire concept is fabricated, of our imaginations, and sold through stories. Yet, our Community has spent millions of dollars a year on this dream because they believe in it. And because we believe in it.

Okay, Squad.

Your metadata is LIVE (Please refresh the metadata on your OpenSea page to see the update. It might take hours or even days for OpenSea to populate the information, especially percentages).

We apologize for the delayed metadata reveal. With 25,000 NFTs that each hold their own history, designed (non-generatively!) over 18 years by hundreds of different artists, the scale of this project was unprecedented and beyond what anyone anticipated. In the end, however, that is what distinguishes us. Adam Bomb Squad is already separating from the rest of the pack because the art and storytelling hit differently. And our set feels human because it was created and curated by humans and the metadata is woven from human stories.

Help us help you!

We will be green-lighting rarity sites soon. In the meantime, enjoy meeting other members of your attributes family. As you’ll see, the features of your art go a lot deeper than just the names of your bombs and backgrounds. Hopefully it’ll now make sense as to why this took so damn long!

Some more notes:

— Please consider the official collaborations with established artists like Ron English, Mr. Cartoon, and Kenny Scharf. A remarkable part of our NFT collectibles is that we have so many different creators involved. Some collaborators like Blue the Great, Aaron Kai, and Nick Diamond have already jumped in the Discord or taken it upon themselves to lead their tribe. You can see how this can play out in the long run once we incorporate partners in future marketing experiences.

— As I stated the morning before release, we planted some “evil twins” (Double Trouble) and errors in the collection. This was in the spirit of my ongoing Topps “Error Terror” baseball card series and Garbage Pail Kids. Growing up, many of us hunted the outlier anomalies amongst collectibles. Not only did they add rarity, but they offered a more interesting story.

— Upon ABS’ reveal weeks ago, we announced that there were some bombs that had a “broken background. ” We fixed them within hours and told you we’d assign affected bombs to the Error Terror category. However, instead of lumping them into an existing trait, we decided to file them into their own silo. This allows Error Terrors to exist as they were intended. And it gives Broken Backgrounds a class of their own (it obviously also lends more rarity because the quantities are fewer).

— Rarity is subjective. There is a part of us that wishes we never had to reveal metadata because it unduly influences perceptions around specialness. In our opinion, all 25,000 NFTs are unique and carry both aesthetic and emotional weight. How can you compare a Kenny Scharf painting vs. an unreleased bomb for Friends and Family vs. a Madam Bomb with a 1-of-1 colorway? Ranking collectibles according to an arbitrary structure seems unnatural for a brand history like ours. While rarity sites will assign your NFTs varying scores (even Rarity Tools itself has 8 different filters to measure values), we want you to know that we also have our own plans for every bomb. In full awareness that many of you will be trading, buying, and flipping bombs according to a 3rd-party calculator, we ask that you mind that there are attributes that can’t be quantified: long-term goals, utility, and most importantly, community power. Do not underestimate how far our community can take a bomb if they rally behind it.

— This brings me to a critical point: The only person who can define your bomb’s value isn’t the ABS team or the metadata. It’s not the rarity sites. It’s not even the secondary marketplaces. It’s you. We’ve done our part now in giving you the collectible, its metadata, and a forum for the community to convene. Now, it’s your turn to tell the world about your bomb and build the hype and narrative around it (It’s also up to you to determine what “value” means. Do you interpret that as high resale value? That would be great. But, can it also mean something more substantive and meaningful to your life?). Some tribes like the Zombies, Badams, Madams, and House Adams are already making headway in bolstering their brands. Get creative in finding ways to push your bombs to the top.

So, what’s next? Well, we are ready to finally begin! There are two immediate housekeeping items. First, we promised all Broken Backgrounds™ holders an airdropped, mule-themed NFT (Sorry, it’s a Discord thing). We will send those out next. Second, we told you that all ABS holders will receive a free T-shirt (one per wallet and/or physical address). Next week, we’ll tell you how to sign up for yours. There will be a window of time to register as a bomb-holder and lock in your order. Here is an idea of what the design might look like:

Please Wait...

After that? Well, this is where we can take ABS to the limits of our imagination. We’ve already started passing out discount codes and early links to The Hundreds drops for Adam Bomb Squad members. Our first in-person meetup (of many) will be at Family Style Food Festival here in Los Angeles on October 10th. Although we are renowned for our worldwide events, we are recognized even more for our clothing and physical merchandise, so you can expect us to flex that muscle.

Oh, I forgot the most important thing. Have fun, everybody. Enjoy the collectibles and make some friends in the process — you know, those substantive and priceless wins that make life meaningful. If you are using NFTs as an investment vehicle, remember to only play with what you can afford. We come from the hype and trend industry, so we know the sudden dips and unexpected crashes too well. That’s why we will always emphasize the friendships, the education, and the Community aspects of NFTs more than any financial come-up — because those rarities never go out of style. Welcome to the club, I hope you stick around for a long time. It’s about to get interesting.
