Introduction
Gameplay
MotoGP Ignition, which is a play-to-earn game like other games included in the REVV Motorsport ecosystem, is a licensed MotoGP game. Players will be able to own, race, and manage real pilots, which they know from MotoGP as NFTs. MotoGP Ignition, where everything in the game is owned by the players, is also a game where the motorbikes of world-famous motorbike brands can be owned as NFTs, such as Suzuki, Honda, Ducati, Aprilia, Yamaha, etc.
The game will focus on two main aspects; NFT collection, and racing management. Players will be able to collect collectibles from Ignition Complete platform within the game. These NFT assets will be earned by opening card packs. Upon opening, players will get three random cards minimum, and each card pack will have a theme that determines what kind of NFTs players will get.
Ignition Legends is the management place for players to compete against each other by using their MotoGP NFTs in a competitive and multiplayer setup. In Ignition Legends mode, players will be able to adjust even the smallest details, such as managing riders on a lap-by-lap basis. Riders will be able to run an aggressive lap to gain higher places if their manager wants them to do so. Each race will be unique, so managers will have to strategize their moves by watching the races closely to grasp the leader position. Also, players will have the responsibilities such as repairing bikes, improving riders’ conditions, building a full team with mechanics, coaches, scouts, upgrading the parts of the bikes, etc.

Formula E Adds Portland, Oregon Race to Season 9 Calendar for June 2023
By
December 7, 2022
Formula E has announced a new U.S. race in its Season 9 calendar with a stop in Portland, Ore., set for June 24, 2023.
Since beginning competition in 2014-15, sustainability-focused Formula E has included a race in the U.S. every year except for the Covid-shortened Season 6. Previous stops included Long Beach, Calif., Miami and New York City, where the circuit has held an ePrix since 2017. Redevelopment along the Brooklyn Waterfront course, however, precluded that option next year.
The Portland race received approval from the FIA World Motor Sport Council but is subject to final safety and technical checks. The Race reports that the ePrix will be held on a modified track at the Portland Raceway. Season 9 marks several firsts for Formula E as it debuts its Gen3 car, adds teams from Maserati and McLaren and holds inaugural races in Brazil, India and South Africa.

The Sacramento Kings have partnered with materials science and manufacturing company Avery Dennison to produce digitally connected physical merchandise for fans. Avery Dennison will insert its RFID tags into team-branded merchandise, including t-shirts and jerseys, for fans to scan with their smartphones to access exclusive discounts, content and other promotions.
Avery Dennison will also work with the Kings to add player names, numbers and jersey patches of Dialpad (the Kings’ jersey sponsor) to uniforms worn by participating youth basketball players in the Sacramento area. A Kings jersey customization station presented by Avery Dennison is being added to the Golden 1 Center or fans to visit during Kings home games as part of the deal, which names Avery Dennison as the official embellishment partner of the NBA team and its G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.
The Cleveland Cavaliers partnered with Avery Dennison in November to produce RFID tag-embedded merchandise, and the Ohio-based company has similar apparel partnerships with the San Francisco 49ers, English Premier League, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid. Avery Dennison was founded in 1935 and its smart apparel business is led by Smartrac, a Dutch RFID developer acquired by Avery Dennison in 2019.

By
December 7, 2022
Five Iron Golf, a tech-centric golf and entertainment company, is expanding to India and will open a Delhi location in March 2023.
This new venue, which will house seven golf simulators as well as a bar and restaurant, is Five Iron Golf’s second international venture after opening in Singapore in 2021. Each simulator will have TrackMan Golf launch monitors and high-speed cameras. Visitors of all experience levels can book lessons with an instructor and hit balls as they would on a driving range. Five Iron Golf, which received a $30 million investment from Callaway a year ago, hopes to make the sport more accessible through its brand.
IMG Arena Acquires Virtual Sports and Casino Games Provider Leap Gaming to Expand Sports Betting Content
By
December 7, 2022
Betting data distributor IMG Arena has an agreement to purchase , a virtual sports and casino games provider that will advance IMG Arena’s wagering content portfolio.
The deal is slated to close in the first half of 2023, pending a typical regulatory review. With its Event Centre apps already ensconced with the DP World Tour, IMG Arena can now add Leap’s 3D and motion capture technologies to its repertoire.
Leap will bring a myriad of partnerships with sports federations and 120 sportsbooks globally, with plans already to launch virtual sports wagering products — featuring official 3D logos, venues and other branded assets — with . IMG Arena had previously acquired an equity stake in Leap back in 2018, and the two companies had collaborated on virtual betting merchandise for golf, motorsports, football, horse racing, greyhound racing and cycling.

Sports Technology Market Expected to Be Worth $41.8 Billion by 2027, Per Report
By
December 6, 2022
The sports technology market is expected to expand from $21 billion in 2022 to $41.8 billion by 2027, according to a proprietary report from MarketsandMarkets.
The report mentioned that the online sale of smart watches has grown immeasurably and specifically spotlighted Garmin’s running watch, the Forerunner 955 Solar, that includes solar charging with up to 49 hours of battery life in its GPS mode. Garmin’s Forerunner 935 smart watch, which prioritizes heart rate monitoring and workout analytics, is also a leader, particularly in the triathlon space.
Individual teams have also driven the rise of athlete performance technology due to their emphasis on wearable devices and sensors that quantify training, gameday decisions and injury recovery. MarketsandMarkets pointed to companies such as NormaTec, Rapid Reboot and Air Relax whose products improve blood flow and circulation in players.
The sports tech boom has also given rise to VC firms such as KB Partners, which recently closed a massive $127 million early-stage sports tech fund, as well as sports accelerators such as Techstars. Jordan Fliegel, managing director of the Techstars accelerator in Indianapolis, told SportTechie earlier this year that sports tech funding in North America could reach $10 billion-plus by year’s end, which may turn out to be a conservative prediction.

The app provides automated recommendations and can send push notifications of when to drink during an activity. The pod and four patches are available for $129 with four-packs of patch refills available for $25 each.
The target population at launch is endurance athletes, but Nix also has been conducting pilot programs with MLB, NBA and NFL teams and athletes in motorsports and tennis, as well as in the military and industrial settings. FIFA to Introduce 11 New Advanced Metrics for Broadcast, Digital Audiences During FIFA World Cup Qatar
By
December 6, 2022
FIFA’s high-performance team, led by legendary former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, has developed 11 new advanced metrics that will be made available to broadcast and digital audiences during the World Cup in Qatar.
The new metrics, based largely on player and ball tracking data, will be used to inform fans during the World Cup as well as be used by FIFA for internal uses. They are:
- Possession control
- Ball recovery time
- Line breaks
- Defensive line height and team length
- Final-third entries
- Forced turnovers
- Pressure on the ball
- Expected goals
- Team shape
- Receptions behind midfield
- Defensive lines and phases of play
Wenger is FIFA’s chief of global football development, and the high-performance team includes analysts, data scientists and engineers.
The federation said it will conduct developmental analysis to track longitudinal changes in how the sport is played as well as have more objective measures about the physical and tactical demands of the game at the highest level, with an eye toward understanding player development from lower levels. Chyron’s TRACAB provided the optical tracking cameras and algorithms powering electronic performance and tracking systems (EPTS) in the 2018 World Cup.

How to bring your REVV tokens to Flow network?
F.A.Q
Also to make sure you have all the information you need, we have listed some of the most asked questions!
What is Flow?
What is FLOW?
FLOW is the native currency for the Flow network, the exclusive token for staking, governance, payment of transaction fees, and the principal reserve asset on the network.
What are Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)?
In MotoGP™ Ignition, NFTs consist of unique game assets that are used to participate in gameplay, where variations can boost the rewards gained from a race. There are Rider, Bike, Team, and Hot Shot (Highlight Reel) NFTs currently, in the form of collectable cards. These collectable cards NFTs are limited; only a set number of each will be created and made available to players. NFTs of higher rarities are drastically fewer in number, and as such, have higher value.
What are REVV, Fungible Tokens (FTs)?
REVV serves as the primary in-game Fungible Token (essentially a currency) and is used as the standard means of purchase in MotoGP™ Ignition. REVV is the primary reward for placing well in Events.
Once the MotoGP™ Ignition 22/23 season begins, there will be REVV entry fees for Events, and the rewards will be even greater.
How are NFTs and FTs different?
FTs are not unique, are generally available in a higher volume, and are similar in function to a digital currency. NFTs, on the other hand, are limited, and only a set number are created, with each NFT being unique — the opposite to each FT having the same value (i.e. 1 REVV always has the same value as another 1 REVV).
How do rarities work?
The rarity of an NFT depends on the class — Common, Rare or Legendary — and also changes the stats connected to the NFT. There can be as many as 30,000 of the same common NFT, or an item can be so rare as to be the only one of its kind attainable throughout a season.
Where can I view my NFTs?
In Pre-Season, you will view your NFTs in your linked Flow wallet.
Once the MotoGP™ Ignition 22/23 season begins, there will be a Boost page that will show you, for each rider/manufacturer, which of your NFTs can be used to Boost.
I don’t own any cryptocurrency… can I still play?
If you own a valid credit card, you will be able to make purchases of card packs, which will allow you to play in Pre-Season.
Once the MotoGP™ Ignition 22/23 season begins, then REVV will be required to playMotoGP™ Ignition. To find out how to get REVV, head over to REVV Motorsport for details.
Why can’t I make a purchase?
MotoGP™ Ignition Account — Blocto
Currently, the Blocto wallet is the supported solution, meaning that to play you will need to create a Blocto account. This can be done via the MotoGP™ Ignition website, by simply clicking on ‘Connect Wallet’.
If you do not have a Blocto wallet set up upon clicking the ‘Connect Wallet’ button, you will be prompted to create the Blocto wallet from within the MotoGP™ Ignition website.
