Singularity

Each singularity is unique in nature. Data derived from the transaction hash drives the qualities of each form: symmetry, chaos, mass, force, and turbulence.

26 AlgoRhythms

It is a collection of audio-visual data sculptures that are generated by algorithms. Using a combination of colors, patterns, and musical scales, each hash creates a music box.

The entire collection of 1000 was minted. Artists Han x Nicolas Daniel created this collection. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is AlgoRhythms #608 sold for 50 ETH

Cost

Ok. So it’s drop time, and you’re ready to snag your first piece. Before we walk through the minting process, let’s get some details out of the way.

The mint cost is the price for a piece. It varies for every project and is set by the artist. You can find the cost on the project page. Projects are typically conducted as a Dutch Auction or have a flat price per piece.

In a Dutch Auction, the price starts at an initial price (ceiling) and drops by a fixed amount periodically (e.g. 0.1 ETH every 5 minutes) until it hits the lowest price it will go (the resting price). This means minting begins with a high asking price that decreases over time until the project hits its resting price or is sold out.

The Blocks of Art

It was first launched in crypto-space. It is a small number of interacting 3D structures that rotate indefinitely due to their own gravitational attraction.

Each token is the product of a sophisticated set of rules, an algorithm that processes the transaction hash and creates a one-of-a-kind work of cryptography. It is entirely written in Javascript with no external libraries and this will always be a heritage of old ties.

Cryptoblots

This collection was developed by Daïm Aggott-Hönsch.

Minting Process

Here is what the buying process looks like.

2. At the scheduled drop time, navigate to the project page and click “Purchase.”

3. A warning screen will pop up. Read this, then click “Purchase.”

4. Your MetaMask wallet will pop up asking you to confirm the transaction. At this point, you have two options: 1) accept the transaction as is and click confirm, or 2) adjust the gas price (GWEI) to prioritize your mint transaction over other transactions on the network. If you choose to change the gas price, click “Edit” to the right of Gas Fee.

5. On the Customized Gas screen, you can choose a preselected fee of low, medium, or high — or set your own Gas Price by clicking the “Advanced Options” drop down.

6. To increase the speed of your transaction, change the Max Fee and click Save, then Confirm. (DO NOT CHANGE GAS LIMIT).

7. You’re done! Now, you wait for MetaMask to confirm your transaction is completed. You can always check the “Activity” tab in MetaMask to see the status of your transaction.

Most Famous Art Blocks Projects

The collection, named after an Italian town, created 999 pieces of generative art inspired by the abstract expressionist painter Francis Klein’s artworks. It launched at an initial mint price of 0.17ETH.

The Archetype project by studied how the inclusion of repetition as a counterweight to random structures could cause a sense of intentionality.

720 Minutes #355

It is a live interactive piece that also functions as a clock in real-time. Over the course of twelve hours, there are 720 different ways to display the current time, one per minute. Every twelve hours, each clock will activate on its assigned minute, providing you with a unique opportunity to reflect on what one minute means to you.

This magnificent piece was created by artist Alexis André. The entire collection of 720 was minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is 720 Minutes #174 sold for 23 ETH.

Artists have a six-month cooldown between deploying projects in the Curated Collection.

27-Bit Digital

27-Bit Digital #23

The graphic displays the art, but the code is the token’s art, as it produces everything bitwise, pixel by pixel, all within 27 bits of data.

Artist Kai created the entire collection. A whole of 1024 was minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project are 27-Bit Digital #810 and 27-Bit Digital #145 sold for 9 ETH.

Playground

It’s important to note the Playground’s limitations: first, an artist can only launch a Playground project after a Curated project. Second, only one project per artist can be active in the Playground at once, and it must be completed before another can be launched on the Playground. If the project is altered after release (e.g., pricing or mint size), the artist must reapply and be approved for another Curated drop before releasing another Playground project. Finally, artists have a two-month cooldown between deploying projects in the Playground Collection.

Dynamic Slices

All 512 out of 512 were completely minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is Dynamic Slices #19 sold for 20 ETH. This set of collections was created by pxlq.

Dreams

The dream is a study of unequal subdivisions. It emphasizes how uniform and crooked lines interact, as well as the intricate patterns that can develop from simple laws.

Each Dreams’ iteration is distinct, with properties specified by the hash generated at the time of transaction.

Joshua Bagley created this dreamy collection. All 700 in this collection are minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is Dreams #28 sold for 28 ETH.

Watercolor Dreams

Watercolor Dreams is a simulation experiment, a meditation on classic watercolor techniques, and a tribute to serendipity. It speaks about when will this curvature come to a halt and this color will go out of style? It solely says to relax and enjoy the colors as they pour over the canvas.

NumbersInMotion created this collection. The entire collection of 600 was minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is Watercolor Dreams #62 sold for 18 ETH

While your piece is rendering, you can still see your collection by clicking on your wallet, then “My Profile” in the top right corner. The preview screen will show a Chromie Squiggle placeholder until the work is generated. However, you can still enjoy your piece while it’s rendering by clicking “live” — this gives you a live preview of your work while it’s being generated. Once complete, the rendered piece will replace the Chromie Squiggle placeholder.

The Chromie Squiggle placeholder will also show on 3rd party sites like OpenSea until the project is rendered and the metadata updates.

Inspirals

Here, each image spins infinitely with hash-driven colors, forms, and symmetries. This particular collection means “as the spiral shifts between beauty and madness, fly through it.”

HyperHash

This work indicates a futuristic, telepathic & symbolic language for Etherians. These artworks have unique colors, geometry, and motion signatures live generated on GPU through shader (GLSL) code.

All 369 out of 369 were minted. This entire collection was created by Beervangeer. This is currently owned by 6529.eth. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is HyperHash #170 sold for 30 ETH

Every ‘Ringers’ output is obtained from a unique transaction hash and created in the browser using Javascript. Few feature variations are peg count, sizing, layout, wrap orientation, and a few colorful embellishments.

Spectron

This collection of video artworks is the product of study from the 1960s and 1970s video art, particularly early analog video synthesizers.

These were massive hardware machines that were capable of creating forms and patterns from scratch without the need for any external visual input.

This collection was created by Simon De Mai. The entire collection of 400 was minted. Till now the most expensive NFT of this project is Spectron #93 sold for 15 ETH

Factory

Factory artists will be required to sell out their entire project before releasing anything else on the platform. They also will have a two-month cool down between projects on the platform. Any artist dropping in the factory automatically gives up their privileges to continue dropping in the Playground until they once again have a project accepted as a curated project by the curation board.

MetaMask is a crypto wallet that works with Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave browsers — you can even use MetaMask on your mobile phone. These adorable pals are entirely on-chain, with their bytes smartly kept in a scalable vector format. They are built with high-quality components and sophisticated algorithms, each.

What is the difference between a Linear Dutch Auction and an Exponential Dutch Auction?

GWEI or Gas Price is a unit of measure that specifies the amount of Ether you are willing to pay for each unit of gas. The higher the number, the more likely miners are to prioritize your transaction over others. However, this can get expensive, so be mindful if you change this. As a rule of thumb, 200 GWEI costs around ~0.1 ETH.

Gas limit is the maximum amount of units of gas you’re willing to spend. DO NOT TOUCH GAS LIMIT. Increasing the gas limit will never help your transaction process faster, and decreasing it will make it more likely to fail. Touching the gas limit is a lose-lose situation, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, this can be a very expensive mistake.

Bubble Blobby

In this collection, translucent color bubbles mix and change in a creative way to produce organic and ephemeral blobby formations.

Art Blocks Sotheby’s Auctions

In December 2021, ten never-before-minted editions from the original Chromie Squiggle collection were included in Sotheby’s Metaverse auction. The collection was found by a buyer for $478,800.

How Art Blocks Works

The final NFT could be anything from a 3D model, interactive experience, or simply just a static image.

Factory: This general collection is open to artists who are not considered for the curated collections. The artists must sell all their Factory artwork before releasing another Factory project on the platform. Artists must also wait for two months in-between project launches.

Per Cryptoslam data, the total sales volume is $1,161,060,106.15 as of the 16th of January 2022.

Archetype

The use of repetition as a counterpoint to disorderly, unpredictable structures is explored in Archetype. Because each component appears chaotic on its own, repetition adds a feeling of intentionality, resulting in a complex, yet pleasing statement.

Blocks make bank

The Fidenza project dropped in June at a mint price of 0.17 ETH each—about $400 at the time—and sold out in 28 minutes. The pieces have quickly accelerated in value since. Here’s a good example from OpenSea: was sold for 7.5 ETH ($23,400) on July 13, sold again on July 19 for nearly 18 ETH ($56,200), and then sold on July 24 for 20 ETH (about $62,500). It’s now listed at 215 ETH ($672,500).

Whether it sells for that much remains to be seen, but there is recent precedent for top-dollar Fidenza sales. Along with the $3.3 million sale on Monday, another Fidenza sold yesterday for 777 ETH ($2.4 million) from Kevin Rose, partner at VC firm True Ventures and co-founder of Digg. Rose is one of the most prominent Fidenza owners and admirers and has discussed the collection and interviewed Hobbs on his Modern Finance podcast

Dmitri Cherniak, an artist, developed this. It was sold in a secondary market sale on the OpenSea marketplace platform on August 27th for 1800 ETH (about $5.8 million).
